Hey Everyone,
So since this is the first week of my new weight loss journey, I am still figuring out how I am going to work out different days of the week. Tuesdays are kind of hard. I have work from 8am-2pm, have class from 3pm-5:45pm, and then a meeting from 7:30pm to about 8:30-9pm. So it was hard to do my normal walk through the park/woods. Thankfully I live on the upper portion of a campus with a really large hill, so walking that everyday helps to burn some calories. Other than that, I did really well today, except for eating a bag of peanut M&Ms.

Helping Myself, Helping Others
Hello Everyone Again,
So today I had a few realizations about why I really want to lose weight. It was kind of inspired by this one blog I have read, http://101reasonsihatebeingfat.blogspot.com/. I thought of one of this today during class. The desks in some of my classrooms are so small, that it is uncomfortable sometimes to sit in them. It also makes it hard to keep everything on the desk. This is one of the reasons I have decided to lose weight. I am sick of having to deal with these types of issues, or constantly worrying about them. I need to do this in order to help myself. But I have also figured out a way I can help others with my workout. While on my walk, I found a plastic bag, and decided to pick it up. After that, I picked up whatever other trash I came upon on my walk. I have decided that I am going to do this on all my walks. So that this way I am not only helping myself but also helping others. Hotdog w/bun
Oikos Raspberry Greek Yogurt
PB&J Sandwich
1/2 Bologna sandwich

1/2 cup of Tuna Pasta Salad

Cafeteria's Suck
I have decided that I cannot wait to get my own kitchen. Currently, I live in the residence halls on my college campus, and watching what you eat while having to eat at the cafeteria is hard. Next year I will be living in the apartment style residence hall, which I am super excited about since I will have my own kitchen then. It will make watching what I eat so much easier. But until then I have to deal with the cafeteria. I was thinking about this today when I went to lunch and dinner, and all there was t eat was hamburgers, pizza, BBQ sandwiches, and potatoes. It was really hard, and I am trying out this new calorie counter, which I am not sure how accurate it is, but it said I ate about 2,600 calories. It also said I burned about 850 calories on my workout, and with my basil metabolic rate being 2,071, that means I burned 200 more calories than I consumed. Again I am not sure how accurate it is, but the cafeteria will be a bit of a challenge for the rest of the semester. But I can cope with it until summer when I have a kitchen. I am just going to have to continue making the best of it. However; I am enjoying my work out, which is to take a really nice and long walk through these woods/park near my college campus. It is really nice and relaxing. Good night for now.

Hello
Well Hello World,
My name is Kelly. I am 20 years old, and I am sick of being fat. I have reached a point in my life when I need to start making some changes. I have been overweight for almost my whole life, and I am just sick of it. It makes everything so much more work than is necessary, from relationships with friends, family, and boyfriends (even getting one), to work, and just enjoying life. Weight is something is constantly on my mind, and I just don't it to be that way anymore. That is why I have decided I am going to lose weight. I am not going to try to lose I am going to lose it. I have to do it for myself, and for my future (and everything it entails). So I have decided that my goal is that by next year, April 7, 2013, I will have lost 100lbs by exercising 30 mins everyday, and watching what I eat.
So I am basically going to use this blog to express my frustrations, record triumphs, track how I have changed (mentally and physically), and, mostly, keep me honest and on track. Most posts will be related to my weight loss, but some some will just be about my life in general. My main goal for this blog is that will be help me on the way to my goal weight, and hopefully help someone else. And so my journey begins.
